Chembiotek is a chemistry and biology based contract research organization based in Kolkata and Pune in India. Chembiotek has been in operation for 5 years and has a large number of US and European pharmaceutical clients. The company has state of the art facilities including instrumentation, analytical capabilities, animal facilities to support all aspects of drug discovery and development. Chembiotek has scientific capabilities for chemistry (organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, combinatorial chemistry, process research), biology (assay development, protein production and purification, characterization of biologically active molecules).
In addition, pharmacology capabilities include in vitro and in vivo metabolic profiling of lead molecules, pharmacokinetic analysis, and animal models of disease. Development capabilities include toxicology and formulation support. At the present time, Chembiotek has approximately five hundred (500) employees and is projected to grow to one thousand (1000) by the end of 2007.
