Rishi has established management operation in Newton, MA and research operations in Kolkata and Mumbai, India. The US based leadership team will be responsible for the selection of programs, establishing scientific milestones and timelines, and management of the research portfolio.
Rishi’s primary expertise is in medicinal chemistry and drug development. Generally, in-licensing efforts will focus on lead molecules that provide starting points for drug discovery programs. Rishi’s medicinal chemistry expertise will concentrate on the rapid optimization of lead molecules, development of structure activity relationships, and identifying development candidates. The supporting chemistry functions include ADME, pharmacokinetics, and toxicology.
The R&D operations are supported by Chembiotek, and the clinical investigations are supported by ClinInvent. Capital efficiency will be gained by “just-in-time” allocation of resources that allows maximum utilization of scientific and clinical personnel in a program specific manner.
